GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Masters degree, plus two years of Post-masters graduate work in psychology, social work or related mental health fields and two years experience in staff supervision. Working knowledge of the principles and techniques of family therapy; two years supervised experience in family, individual and group therapy, demonstrated effectiveness in clinical supervision of individual, family, and marital therapy; working knowledge of the educational system, ability to prepare meaningful and concise records, reports, and program proposals; ability to participate in team-oriented treatment and program planning. Must also maintain PRO-Act Certification and be eligible to be CESIS certified.

The BCBA will be primarily responsible for treatment plans, RBT supervision, new client consultations, assessments and other behavior-related tasks. The BCBA will report to the ABA Program Director.

Other Responsibilities include:
• Directly observe treatment implementation
• Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols
• Provide direct instruction, training, and support to client and family members during regularly scheduled visits.
• Develop treatment goals, protocols and data collection systems
• Collaboration with family, caregivers, and all service providers is necessary to ensure continuity of care. Demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team
• Effectively manage caseload, prepare and submit all required documentation in a timely manner
• Review and evaluate the performance of the direct care staff member to ensure the proper implementation of treatment plan
• Conduct functional and comprehensive behavior assessments & recommend positive behavior supports for children with Autism Spectrum and other related disorders.
• Collaborate with families in the development of behavior support strategies.
• Work closely with the Behavior Specialists in their provision of direct services, and provide the needed resources and guidance to assist clients, parents, and Behavior Specialists in the development and implementation of behavior protocols.

Qualifications:

A Supervising BCBA must have a Master’s degree, be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and have accrued more than 50% of their experience hours working with children on the autism spectrum. Experience in both in-home and in-clinic settings is preferred.
